FRIKE-Rumble strip handling machine for the Autobahn GmbH

Four more rumble strip handling machines delivered

Recently, four additional FRIKE-Rumble strip handling machines have been enhancing work and traffic safety at the Southwest branch of Autobahn GmbH. CEO Tim Baur personally handed over the attachments.

The number of FRIKE-Rumble strip handling machines in use on German motorways is growing: In mid-April, we were pleased to deliver four next-generation machines to the Southwest branch of Autobahn GmbH. “We are very pleased that more and more road maintenance depots are placing their trust in our attachments, allowing us to contribute to the safety of their personnel,” said CEO Tim Baur at the handover in Tauberbischofsheim. The four machines will be stationed in Karlsruhe, Efringen-Kirchen, Freiburg im Breisgau, and Tauberbischofsheim. They will enhance work and traffic safety at short-term work sites (AkD), particularly by helping to prevent rear-end collisions with warning trailers.

Efficient and safe

The FRIKE-Rumble strip handling machine automatically deploys and retracts the positionally stable FRIKE- Rumble strips. The attachment can be operated by a single person directly from the vehicle cabin. This eliminates the need for any work outside the vehicle in unsecured areas and allows operation with only one staff member. The result is greater efficiency, enhanced safety for everyone involved, and full compliance with the highest safety standards in accordance with ASR A5.2.

Lasting impact

Along with the FRIKE-Rumble strip handling machine, another core component of the system was delivered: the positionally stable FRIKE-Rumble strips. These are distinguished by their unique ground adhesion—whether in dry, wet, or cold conditions. Unlike conventional rumble strips, they prevent the risk of becoming a new hazard by popping up or shifting when driven over. Tim Baur said: “With this new complete system, the Southwest branch now has an effective tool to secure its work sites— a system whose lasting impact and added value are fully endorsed by FRIKE and dozens of customers worldwide.”
